The
god of this world
The Bible says in 2 Cor.4: 3,4 “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid
to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the
minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel
of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” KJV.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is not hidden to us who believe, but to the
lost. They cannot see because the god of this world, Satan, has
blinded them from the light of the truth. Until the power of God
breaks through their darkness, they will never be saved. But we do
have a ministry that can reach those who are lost. It is the same
ministry that Paul the Apostle was given when commissioned to the
Gentiles.
The
ministry of Paul
In the book of Acts chapter 26 verses 15-18, we see Paul speaking to
King Agrippa about his encounter with Jesus. In this encounter Paul
was commissioned by Jesus to the lost, to:

their eyes
-
and
turn them from darkness to light
-
and
from the power of Satan unto God
-
that
they might receive forgiveness of sins
-
and
inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in
me.
God has given us that same ministry today. We are to be Apostles for
Him, sent-ones, in His name. We are to bring the light of Jesus Christ
to a lost and dying world of darkness. You should minister to the lost
with confidence, “because greater is he that is in you than he
that is in the world.” KJV. God ministers to the lost when and
how he wants, his strength is unlimited.
A
modern day witness
Bill Bright is the founder and president of a worldwide evangelistic
ministry called Campus Crusade for Christ. In his book entitled God
– Discover His Character, he writes, …we have trained millions
of believers around the world to share Christ with everyone who will
listen, in the power of the Holy Spirit, and leaving the results to
God.” p.58.
This months tips for
sharing the gospel:
-
Pray
that the Lord would give you a sensitivity to the lost around you.

Ask
the Lord for opportunities to share the gospel, and the ability to
do it.

Think
about what your life would have been like without Jesus.
Remember:
“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the
Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.” KJV
